Mr. Jordan is a 1998 graduate of Coleridge Community Schools. He continued his education at Northeast Community College before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Wayne State College. He later completed his Master’s Degree in K–12 Administration, also from Wayne State College. After spending a year and a half substitute teaching, he began his career at Good Cheer District 48, where he taught grades 6–8 in a self-contained classroom.
Following the consolidation of rural schools, Mr. Jordan joined Madison Public Schools, where he has dedicated the past 20 years to serving students and staff. During his time in the district, he has taught at both the elementary and middle school levels while also contributing as a coach, including four years as head basketball coach and six years as head football coach.
For the past six years, Mr. Jordan has served as the district’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. In this role, he has led professional development efforts, coordinated curriculum adoption, and overseen all district testing, including the ACT.
Mr. Jordan will assume the role of High School Principal following the retirement of Mr. Jim Crilly, who has faithfully served Madison Public Schools with dedication and integrity. The district extends its sincere gratitude to Mr. Crilly for his years of leadership, commitment to students, and the lasting impact he has made on the school community. Madison Public Schools wishes him all the best in his well-earned retirement.
“I love Madison. It truly feels like home,” said Jordan. “I feel blessed to have the opportunity to continue the work that Mr. Crilly has done and to build on the strong foundation established by Mr. Ehrisman and Mrs. Kush. The teachers and students in our district are incredible, and I am eager to find new ways to support them in this role while partnering with parents and our community to live out our mission. I also want to thank Mr. Frederick and our school board for trusting me with this opportunity—one that I do not take for granted.”
Madison Public Schools looks forward to Mr. Jordan’s leadership and continued commitment to excellence as he steps into this new role. #weRmadison
