Avoid:
Pushing repeatedly on power button.
Eating or drinking near your computer.
Carrying your computer with the lid open.
Slamming the computer lid shut.
Leaving your computer in a car during freezing weather or in direct sunlight in summer.
Leaving your computer unattended. (Lock it up in your locker when not in use.)
Using your computer on a soft surface -- like a bed or carpeting.
Leaving too many programs and documents open on your screen.
Having magnets near your laptop.

Never:
Use spray cleaner on screen.
Use small CD’s in the laptop.
